Will it cost me extra to use you as a travel agent?
NOPE, it sure doesn’t! This is one question that I get asked constantly and most people don’t believe the answer – they always think there has to be some kind of hidden catch. My travel planning services are 100% free and complimentary to you, meaning you don’t pay anything extra for using me as your travel advisor. What you pay is for your vacation and your vacation ONLY. No catch. 🙂
Why should I use a travel agent?
I could write an entire book on this question, but the simple truth is that having a travel advisor just makes life easier. Vacations should be fun, exciting, and worry free. Having a travel agent takes all the stress of planning and organizing off of you, while also giving you the peace of mind knowing that if any problems do arise, they will take care of it. Travel advisors are able to offer recommendations and suggestions on different destinations, based off of research and experience. They also get special access to different perks such as upgraded hotel rooms, food and beverage credit, and discounted rates not available to the general public.
I can book everything on my own for the same price, so why would I use a travel advisor?
This question goes hand in hand with the one above ^^^. Often times people will reach out to me for help with planning a trip. More often than not, once I send over a quote, I’ll get a message back that says something along the lines of “thanks for your help, but those are the same prices I’m finding so I’m just going to book everything myself.” What people don’t realize is that although the price may be the same, booking through a travel advisor allows you access to those special perks I talked about above – upgraded room categories, free welcome gifts, flight upgrades, discounted spa services, excursion credits, etc. Believe me – that price is not one in the same.
Is travel insurance worth it?
Honestly, it just depends. Travel insurance greatly depends on a number of different factors such as: where you’re going, how long you’re staying, your total trip cost, etc. Everybody’s vacation and travel situation is different, which is why insurance makes sense for some but not all. Vacationing out of the country for a few weeks? Insurance is a no brainer. A weekend road trip to a cabin in the woods? Maybe not. When I’m working with a client, I always offer travel insurance and go over the pros and cons of it in detail, so that they can make the best informed decision for themselves.
